Jamie Citron

Chief of Staff

Jamie Citron is the chief of staff at Mellon, where he partners with the president on her priorities, oversees the administrative functions of the President’s office, and collaborates with the president and chief operating officer to support the Foundation’s senior leadership team.

Previously, Jamie served as deputy assistant to the president and principal deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. In this role, he leveraged nearly twenty years of experience in public engagement, organizing, and management to advance the President’s relationships with diverse community leaders nationwide. He also held roles in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel and as chief of staff at Adler University, where he managed large-scale initiatives.

Jamie has served on the Obama Foundation’s Inclusion Council and held leadership roles with Equality Illinois, Greencity Market, and the Harris School of Public Policy Alumni Council. He holds a B.A. from Hampshire College and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.
